Step by step

Button names come from the original guide (Shopify in French, Leadpages in English). In your account, buttons appear in your language.

  1. 1

    Start from a webinar template

In Leadpages, create a new landing page and filter templates by the webinar category. Check the mobile preview, then pick a simple template: headline, promise, date, form.

  2. 2

Write a headline that promises a result

The headline says what people will be able to do afterwards: « Open your Shopify store in a weekend », not « Shopify webinar ». Right below: the date, the time with the time zone, and the length.

  3. 3

Sum up the content in three points

Three bullets are enough: what you'll cover, who it's for, and what they'll leave with. Add one line about you (no photo if you'd rather stay low-key) to say why they should listen.

  4. 4

    Set up the registration form

Keep first name and email, nothing more. Connect the form to your email or webinar tool so registrants get the link. Add an unchecked consent box if you plan to send other emails.

  5. 5

    Add a countdown

A « Countdown » element set to the webinar date and time reminds people the event has a deadline. Place it near the signup button.

  6. 6

Prepare the confirmation page and publish

After signup, send people to a thank-you page: « You're in! Add the date to your calendar » plus the time. Publish, register yourself and check that the confirmation email arrives.

Common mistakes

  • A form that's too long (phone, company, job title): every extra field costs signups.
  • Forgetting the time zone: some registrants join an hour late.
  • Not sending reminders the day before and an hour before: many registrants forget to show up.
